Shiva Educational Society, a trusted name in the field of education was established in the year 2006 at Ghumarwin, Distt. Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. Under the flagship of the society, the first college “Shiva College of Education” was established in the year 2007 at Ghumarwin, Bilaspur. It is the first private college of education in the district affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, recognized by National Council of Teachers’ Education (NCTE), New Delhi and Accredited by NAAC offering B. Ed course with annual intake of 200 seats.

Following this, the society added another dimension for providing professional education to the needy students by establishing “Shiva Institute of Pharmacy” at Chandpur, Bilaspur in the year 2015. It is a model pharmacy institute in Bilaspur region, approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, affiliated to Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur and Himachal Pradesh Takniki Siksha Board, Dharamshala. Presently, this institute is offering D. Pharmacy, B. Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics and Pharmacognosy) courses.

The society has achieved another milestone with the establishment of “Shiva International School” at Ghumarwin, Bilaspur in the year 2015. The School is affiliated to CBSE and has spread its wings up to plus two (10+2) in Science, Arts and Commerce streams. “Shiva Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital” is another feather added to the cap of the society in the year 2016 with an annual intake of 60 students, followed by “Shiva Academy of Competitive Examination” in 2019 and “Shiva College of Veterinary Sciences” for veterinary pharmacist (Diploma course) in the year 2020. Shiva Group believes in creating a multicultural environment for students to learn and develop knowledge and skills needed to meet the current and future challenges. The students of Shiva Group of Institutions not only belong to the state but also from various corner of the country. This ensures that the students will learn about unity in diversity.
